The Transition

The End of Fall

Knit Headband/ A-line Skirt/ Colorblock Oversized Sweater/ Bangles/ Satchel/ Platform Ankle Boots

I'm quite infatuated with reds, burgundies, and taupes. Call me lazy, but an over-sized/chunky sweater with a basic a-line skirt will definitely be my go-to outfit during the awkward FALL/WINTER transition. Keeps you warm, but not the insane layers that Canadian Winters warrant. Effortlessly stylish, especially during Finals when you really don't want to think about what to wear.
Menswear 101

Double Breasted Peacoat/ Canvas Holdall Bag/ Crew Neck Long Sleeve/ Loop Stitch Scarf/ Woodland Watch

Upon request from my "gentlemen friends", just some friendly suggestions;). Of course dark shades are always a safe choice, but a subtle addition of color is quite attractive. Rusts, reds, and browns add color without being over-the-top or too flamboyant. The Double Breasted Peacoat in rust from TOPMAN is structured and sophisticated (especially for guys with broad shoulders), definitely a "staple" for Fall and Winter.

  1. The 4 year old nature of the New Yorker picture is a true testament to the timelessness of good style. I myself am a huge fan of brown, usually choosing it in a watch strap, belt, shoe/boot combination over black. The suggestion of the rust peacoat is, however, a great alternative. In the case of wanting to wear traditional blacks, greys, and whites, I feel like adding the rust peacoat will add a desirable focal flare, while being removable if a more solemn situation arises.
As if the cold outside wasn't enough reminder, the inclusion of a recommended scarf is glorious. I feel like the scarf is the easiest way in a man's wardrobe to add considerable customizable style while being extremely practical. In practice, I find it difficult to wear such a large scarf as is shown, opting for a more traditional size. The method of tying the scarf and the colour combination is where I find the creativity to explore new avenues of style, but I have admiration for those who can properly fit oversize scarves into their look.
